Too Good To Go (TGTG) is a Copenhagen-based social impact startup, has the number one anti-food waste app and is leading the food waste revolution. The company’s mission is to inspire and empower everyone to take action against food waste and is set out on the phrase “too good to go to Waste!”. Their vision is to dream of a planet with no food waste. Mette Lykke, the CEO of the company since 2016, said “We can affect food waste globally”. They partner with stores and restaurants to put the extra food into a surprise bag and sell it at a price below the value. It is a win-win-win strategy for both consumers who get delicious food at a great price, business partners who reduce waste and meet new consumers, and the environment by being sustainable and helping reduce food waste. This organization design project examines the start-up in the entrepreneurial stage, formalization stage, and beyond.
